  • January 7: Barney visits T. C. Thompson Children's Hospital in Chattanooga, TN to perform a special sing-along with the children at 10AM. In addition, HIT Entertainment donated a Barney video library.[1]
  • February: Barney... A Helping Hand for Growing Children marketing campaign is launched.
  • June 18: Barney appears at Dollywood to celebrate Gov. Bredesen’s pledge to provide Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program to every child under five across the entire state.[2]
  • July 17: El Parque Musical de Barney y sus Amigos makes its official premiere at La Carpa in Buenos Aires, Argentina.[3]
  • July 28-August 7: Barney's Big Surprise performed at Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
  • August 18: Barney appears and performs at Hollywood Radio and Television Society's 10th Annual Kids Day 2004 show at Hollywood and Highland's grand ballroom in Hollywood, California.
  • October 30: Barney makes an appearance at the 11th Annual Children Affected by AIDS Dream Halloween fundraiser in Santa Monica, California.
  • November 25: Barney, Baby Bop, and BJ performed "It's C-C Cold BRRRR!" at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. This marks the final time that Barney, BJ and Baby Bop performed at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
  • December 6: Barney's Colorful World! ends its original 2003-2004 tour run.
  • Unknown: Barney performs for the first time in Canadian shopping centers for "Treehouse Live!", managed by Kidomo. People could also enter the HP Barney Tour Contest for the opportunity to win a HP digital photography prize package and Barney surprises.
