  • July 25: Barney is released for the The Easy-Link Internet Launchpad, a product that only allows children to visit the official website of various characters, from Fisher-Price. Barney was released alongside The Wiggles figure.[1]

Events[]

  • Barney Live! - The Let's Go Tour ends its tour in North America.
  • January 17-September 30: The Spanish version of Barney's Musical Castle performs in various Latin American venues.
  • February 17-18: Barney's Big Fun Time is performed in India at SiriFort auditorium, New Delhi.[2]
  • March 1: HIT Entertainment and JAKKS Pacific team up to announce the Barney Be-a-Star Sweepstakes, where a child would send in a music video of themselves to win a walk on role with the purple guy himself.[3]
  • March 3 and April 3-29: The Brazilian version of El Parque Musical de Barney y sus Amigos performed at Teatro Procópio Ferreira at São Paulo, Brazil.
  • May 24-26: Barney performed live for the first time in the UAE’s capital at the Mother, Baby & Child Show at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).[4]

  • October 5: Barney's Let's Imagine begins performing at the Rachadalai Theatre in Bangkok, Thailand.
  • October 20: Barney appears at the Sky360 by Delta Lounge in Midtown Manhattan from 10AM-1PM to perform a sing-along show and a game of Barney Says in honor of the show's 20th anniversary.[7]
  • October 27: Barney appears at the 2007 Dream Halloween "Under The Big Top" hosted by Jamie Lee Curtis to benefit the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
  • November 1-4: The Brazilian version of Barney's Big Surprise performed at Citibank Hall in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
  • November 21: A Barney balloon flies in 6abc Boscov's Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
  • December 19-23: Barney's Let's Imagine performed at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines.
