Events[]
- May 1: Barney makes his appearance at The Jerry Franklin CPTV Gala[1], an event celebrating the retirement of President & CEO Jerry Franklin after thirty-three years. The event was held at the Connecticut Convention Centre.
- May 23-26: Barney appeared on stage at 10, 12, 2, and 4 o'clock at the MamaMagic Expo in Randburg, South Africa.
- June 4-8: Licensed by Spacetoon, Barney performs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, in the Riyadh Complex Gallery.[2]
- June 18-19: Barney's Sing Along Show was performed for DPTV Kids Club Live at the Royal Oak Farmers Market in Detroit, Michigan.
- July 1: Barney performs at Brantford’s 2019 Canada Day Celebration.[3]
- August 7: Spacetoon Event has recently announced signing a licensing deal with Mattel to launch Mattel branded live events in MENA, with the collaboration including Barney. Prior to the announcement, Mattel and Spacetoon already collaborated on a licensed Barney event in June.[4]
- August 30-1 September: Barney appears on stage at 10:30, 1:30, and 3:30 at the MamaMagic Expo at the Durban Expo Centre in South Africa.
- October 20: Universal Kids announces the Barney Sweepstakes where parents told them their kid's favorite Barney song for a chance to win the Barney Buddies plush toys of Barney, Baby Bop, and BJ.
- November 1-3: Barney appeared on stage at 10:30, 1:00, and 3:30 at the MamaMagic Expo in Cape Town, South Africa. VIP tickets were sold to those who wanted to meet Barney after the show.
- November 28-1 December: Barney once again appeared on stage at 10:30, 1:00, and 3:30 at the MamaMagic Expo in Joburg, South Africa.

- October 18: Mattel announces that a new live-action Barney movie is in production and will be produced by Daniel Kaluuya.[5]
Television[]
- July 14: Barney & Friends was taken off the Universal Kids lineup, making it available on their app and video on demand instead.
- September 9: Barney & Friends returned to the Universal Kids lineup, airing for a full hour at 12:00 noon.
