- April 7-10: Barney is announced to have returned to perform on stage daily at MamaMagic Baby Expo in South Africa.
- July 29-31: Barney performed on stage at MamaMagic Baby Expo Durban at Durban Expo Centre in South Africa.

- February 4: Character Options Limited announces the release of a new range of Eco Plush toys, which includes Barney.[3]
- February 7: Character Options Limited lists the Eco Plush Barney on their website.[4]
- March 11: Eco Plush Barney becomes available for purchase.
- June 17: InSpirit Designs announces the release of new officially licensed toddler and adult costumes based on Barney the Dinosaur.
- Summer: Toy Factory, LLC, a company that distributes plush toys for amusement parks, attractions, family entertainment centers, and vending machines, lists Barney Sparkle Print plush on their website.
- September: Toy Factory, LLC, lists the 14" Barney & Friends EB, a ball, on their website.
- Mid-September: InSpirit Designs releases the new officially licensed toddler and adult costumes based on Barney the Dinosaur.
Streaming[]
- January 20:
- Season thirteen of Barney & Friends is added to the streaming app HappyKids.
- Seasons ten, eleven and twelve of Barney & Friends begin streaming on Little Stars Universe on Pluto TV.
- March: Seasons seven, eight, nine, thirteen, and fourteen of Barney & Friends were released for streaming on The Roku Channel.
- Early April: Streaming service Tubi removes Barney & Friends, meaning that seasons seven through fourteen are no longer available for viewing.
- June 10: Kartoon Channel! announces that Barney & Friends became available to stream on the platform,[5] with only season twelve available for viewing.
- June 30: Streaming service Xumo launched a streaming channel dedicated to Barney & Friends, again only showcasing seasons seven through fourteen.[6][7]
- August 1: Barney's Great Adventure is made available on the streaming service Peacock. It is removed in late October.[8]
- August 16: New York’s Canela Media launches Canela Kids, a new Spanish-language streaming service, featuring Barney & Friends on the service.[9] Twenty episodes from seasons thirteen and fourteen are made available.
- October 12: I Love You, You Hate Me, a limited documentary series, is released on the streaming service Peacock.[10]
