- January: Barney appears at the Australian Open Ballpark for live shows and meet and greets. The shows took place on January 16 and January 23.[2]
- January 21-23: Barney appears at the 2025 Toy Fair at the Olympia London in West Kensington, London, England.
- January 28-February 1: Barney appears at the 2025 Nuremberg Toy Fair (Spielwarenmesse) in Nuremberg, Germany.
- February 24: It's revealed that Sheryl Leach, creator of Barney, is working on a Barney documentary highlighting Barney's early years.[3]
- March 2: Mattel and Nelvana host "Barney's Purple Party" in Toronto, Canada, giving social media influencers and their children an exclusive sneak peek of the Barney's World toy collection from Fisher-Price coming to Walmart stores. The event also featured face paintings, snacks, family portraits and a meet and greet with Barney.
- March 3: Barney hosted a meet and greet at Walmart in the Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.
- May 17: Barney appears for a meet and greet at Walmart in Tepeyac, Mexico City, Mexico to promote his new line of toys.
- June 11: To celebrate the International Day of Play, Barney paid a visit to Children's National Hospital in Washington DC.[4]
- June 12: Barney (Barney's World) makes an appearance at Mattel's "Camp Mattel" event, held in honor of the International Day of Play.[5]

- May 21: Uken Games announces Mattel Match: Toybox Unlocked for iOS and Android devices. Barney, BJ, and Baby Bop appear as toys in the game.[6]

- January 1: Sensory Barney and Heart Glow Barney plush toys are released by Fisher-Price on Walmart's website.
- January 9: Mattel releases an exclusive line of Barney apparel and accessories through Mattel Creations, as part of their Valentine's Day collection.[7]
- January 17: Funko reveals Funko Pop figures of Barney and Baby Bop.
- January 22: Barney and Baby Bop Funko Pop figures are available for preorder.[8]
- January 23: As part of a campaign in response to the LA wildfires, Mattel Creations launches a line of "Mattel Loves LA" t-shirts, including a "Barney Loves LA" shirt. A portion of the proceeds from the shirt line will be donated to the American Red Cross.[9]
- January 29: Mattel announces at the Nuremberg Toy Fair that the Barney's World toy line from Fisher-Price will hit European markets in Fall 2025.[10]
- January: A line of Barney outdoor toys is released by Sunny Days Entertainment, ranging from bubble toys to chalk sets.
