- Unlike Three Wishes book, we don't see his doll form when comes alive (like The Backyard Show book) or turns back into back in his doll form.
- In pages of this adaptation portray both forms of Barney as having three fingers as opposed to his original mitten-esque hands.
- Like The Backyard Show and Three Wishes, this book sold for retail price at $3.50, storybook along with the audio cassette was $6.95, and the Deluxe pack was $19.95
