Ayira is a character who only appeared in the episode "The Good Egg: Kenya", which was a part of the the thirteenth season of Barney & Friends. Ayria was portrayed by Janelle Gore.
Ayira first appears in the episode by explaining to Barney and his friends that the ostritch eggs they were observing was laid by one on the animal preserve. She eventually welcomed Barney, BJ, Riff, Natalia, Taylor and Josh to the country of Kenya. She would later explain that ostriches can't fly and that they mostly walk and or run fast and that they're very tall. Ayira would later share with the group that animals are different in size, as some are big and some are little.
Given Ayira's lesson on a few eggs they've seen, it lead to Natalia asking if she knows about the colorful egg she took a picture of back in the park. Ayira tells her that while it looks like an Easter egg, she's never seen an egg like it before, but she has some friends who might.
Eventually, a dance troupe comes by and Ayira inquires if they could dance for Barney and his friends. Once they finished, Ayria thanked the troupe for their time, further teaching Barney and his friends how to say goodbye in the local language she speaks.
Natalia eventually asks if Ayira lives in a hut, but she explains that the hut she sees is a traditional hut from the old days. Ayria tells Natalia that she lives in the city of Nairobi, which is a big city on Kenya, with a modern house.
Ayira eventually introduces everyone to her friends Jeff and Mark who brought along a few animal friends for them to see. Barney eventually thanks Ayira for her time showing him and the others Kenya. She invites them to come back again.
