In this Christmas story, Barney, Baby Bop and BJ are joyfully preparing for Christmas. They have a very special present to share, and learn that giving is as rewarding as receiving.

- This is the first Christmas book in the Barney franchise.
- An audio cassette version was released in 1997. The same audio would later be featured on the electronic visual version that was packaged with the DVD of Barney's Night Before Christmas.
