Barney's Easter Basket is a 2001 children's picture book that was written by Donna Cooner and illustrated by June Valentine-Ruppe. In this book, it's suggested and hinted for children to help Barney hunt for Easter eggs - and practice counting at the same time.
This was the final Barney book released to be written by Donna Cooner, who also penned a few episodes for Barney & Friends.
The Easter Bunny hops by, hiding Easter eggs in various places. Barney finds one Easter egg above him in some flowers. Barney finds the second Easter egg, which is blue, in a field of flowers. The third Easter egg Barney finds is hidden up in a tree. Barney finds the fourth Easter egg in a dog house. Barney eventually finds the fifth and final egg in the driveway. After finding all the Easter eggs, Barney decides to share them with the reader.
