Barney's Space Adventures (Originally known as Aventuras en el Espacio (Adventures in Space)) is a Barney live show that was written by Pablo Alejandro Glattli and Esteban Grossy Paradela. It toured in South America from 2008 to 2010 and Mexico in 2010. From 2010 until 2012, an English adaptation toured in different countries in Asia and the Middle East. It was the fourth original live tour production based on Barney & Friends to be based outside the US.
Plot[]
Through the power of the audience's imagination, Barney springs to life in an Out-of-this-World mood. He has received a special invitation in the mail! Everyone is invited to the Perfectly Purple Celebration on The Perfectly Purple Planet! Ready to take off, Barney and his friends imagine different colored planets, but the rocket ship won't work! Luckily, Riff comes in. and his clapping machine helps the rocket ship blast off!
Barney takes his friends on a trip to the Perfectly Purple Planet, when they meet The Jester who is clumsy and very silly. They discover that the Palace is far away, taking us to Intermission.
On their way to the Palace, the gang gets lost and Jacob almost spoils the surprise. The surprise is for Barney and is to be kept secret.
Finally, they meet King Morado and Queen Purpurina and celebrate at their Perfectly Purple Palace. They sing tons of songs, play lots of games! Finally, Jacob reveals that they have a surprise for Barney! The surprise is letting them know how they'll always be best friends with Barney.
Soon, it was time for them to go, but while getting it, The Jester accidentally breaks The Clapping Machine. Baby Bop can't wait to go home, but her singing triggers The Clapping Machine to work (Riff accidentally set the machine to singing instead of clapping). They all start singing songs so their rocket can work! The King and Queen thank Barney & his friends for visiting, they give him The Perfectly Purple Key, so that they can visit anytime they want.
All in all, they learn that it's ton's of fun to share their Imagination Adventures with the people they love. after the song, everyone say goodbye, Barney exits and stops and blow kiss goodbye to audiences.

- This was one of the first Barney stage shows produced in South America. With the exception of El Parque Musical de Barney y sus Amigos, previous shows had been imports from the US.
- This was also the second stage show to be written by Esteban Grossy Paradela and Pablo Alejandro Glattli (who had worked together before on Parque Musical).
- Esteban got the idea for the show when he saw the DVD cover of Barney in Outer Space while shopping at a store.
- Barney makes a reference to Barney's Musical Castle.
- Nick Larkin and Tracey White serve as the executive producers of the Asian tour.
- Production for the English version began around September/October of 2009.
- In the Latin American tour, the Spanish dubbing for this show was done in Argentina with a different voice cast instead of having the voice actors of the original Spanish dub of Barney y Sus Amigos from Mexico to voice the dinosaur characters.
- Barney was voiced by Marino Chiesa instead of Rubén Cerda while Baby Bop, BJ, and Riff were voiced by unknown different actresses instead of Elsa Covian, Love Santini, and Claudia Bramnfsette respectively. And the songs were reused from previous shows and albums.
- Like El Parque Musical de Barney y sus Amigos, Barney's Dino-Mite Birthday! - Live on Stage, Barney Live! World Tour - A Celebration!, and Barney's Greatest Hits - Live on Stage, this original live tour production outside the US not to have dancers who portray as animals (people in costume) unlike other Barney stage shows.
