Trivia[]
- This book was featured as a bonus feature on the Extras menu in the UK DVD release of Let's Go to the Zoo.
- As such, the photographs from this book were taken at the Fort Worth Zoo which mainly served as the prominent setting, hence the reason why it was released first prior to the video being made a year later.
- The rhinoceroses featured in this book had to be photoshopped in post-production due to the animals being afraid of Barney and BJ.[2]
- This book was included in the treasury of Barney on the Go!: A Treasury of Go to Stories.
- This book (along with Barney & Baby Bop Go to the Library and Barney's In, Out and All Around) was released one year after Barney Goes to the Farm, Barney's Animal Homes and Barney Goes to the Farm were released, two years after Barney Goes to the Dentist and Uh-Oh! were released, and three years after Sharing Is Caring was released.
- The Portuguese title translates to "Barney & You at the Zoo".
