Barney News

Streaming service Tubi obtained exclusive US streaming rights to Seasons 7-9 of Barney & Friends, as well as non-exclusive streaming rights to Seasons 10 - 12. The episodes began streaming on April 9, 2021.
Netflix began streaming Seasons 13 and 14 in the US on May 1, 2021.
On January 1, 2021, Universal Orlando Resort permanently closed A Day in the Park with Barney.
On May 1, 2020, Mattel signed an exclusive, multi-year global music licensing deal with Warner Music Group's Arts Music division, which became the sole distributor of Mattel's catalog of more than 1,000 songs from various brands including Barney.
On October 18, 2019, Mattel announced that a new Barney movie was in production with Daniel Kaluuya as producer.
After not being on television since 2015, Barney & Friends returned to television on December 17, 2018, airing on Universal Kids.
