• Family: Beth has grandparents, who appeared in Barney's Christmas Star. In "BJ's Really Cool House", it is indirectly revealed that Beth's parents are divorced as she lives in a house and an apartment (one with her mom, and one with her dad).
• Desires: As mentioned in "Puppy Love", Beth desires to have a dog.
• Favorites: Her favorite thing about the spring season is all the baby birds and animals born during the season (as mentioned in "Spring Into Fun!").
• Likes: Playing checkers (as mentioned in "Squares, Squares Everywhere!").

It's an extra special day when Beth invents a new holiday called "Happy Day". The kids can make a wish for something that will make them happy - and the others try to make the wish come true. BJ's wish to take a fishing trip changes when Beth has an unexpected accident that makes her "Happy Day" a sad one. When BJ sings a silly song for Beth, everyone is happy.

• Katherine Pully, who portrayed Beth, was asked to take part in the tour for Barney's Colorful World!, reprising her role as the character, however Pully declined.
