Demetria "Demi" Devonne Lovato (born August 20, 1992) is an American actor and singer who portrayed Angela in seasons 7-8 of Barney & Friends. Their role as Angela was one of their first appearances on television.
It was on the set of Barney that they met what would become their long-time friend, Selena Gomez who was playing Gianna. Like Gomez, Lovato quit Barney and Friends in early 2003 because the producers felt they were getting too old for her role.
They are most well known for their starring roles in the Camp Rock movies, as Sonny Munroe in the Disney sitcom Sonny with a Chance, and as the star of the 2009 movie Princess Protection Program. They are also involved in philanthropic activities through charity work and various social and environmental causes. In 2010, they entered a treatment center due to mental health issues they had been dealing with since childhood. Demi is now one of the most well known singers/ celebrity to this day. Demi Lovato has released tons of albums and music.
