"Four Seasons Day" is the sixth episode from the first season of Barney & Friends.

Plot

Talk about the weather! The kids do much more than that as Barney squeezes all four seasons into one rollicking make-believe holiday. You won't believe how much fun you can have celebrating the wind, the rain, and the snow. There is a barrel-full of songs about spring's showers, summer's warmth, fall's leaves, and winter's chill.

Adaptations

Hachaverim Shel Barney

• In the Hebrew version, all of the songs were a semitone lower except for the "Barney Theme Song". In that same version, "Mister Sun" was sung, but it was shortened. However, neither "If It Never Ever Rained Again" and "The Fall Song" were sung
• A time lapse is used when Barney and the kids are raking leaves and the scene of them playing in the pile of leaves was done in slow motion.
• Barney and the kids don't use the phrase "Shimbaree, Shimbarah" to turn the playground into a skating pond.
• The Barney doll winks in this version instead of having a snowflake land on him.
• Barney is voiced by Yehoyachin Friedlander for his speaking voice while his singing voice is provided by Avi Termin.

• This episode marked:
  • The first episode where Barney and the kids stay outside on the playground the whole episode.
  • The first episode to use the magic words, "Shimbaree, Shimbarah", from the Barney & The Backyard Gang series (this is omitted in international versions).
  • The first time the Barney doll wears something at the end of the episode.
  • The second time Barney falls asleep. The first was in Waiting for Santa.
  • The fourth time the Barney doll does not wink. Although its Hebrew adaptation features the Barney doll actually winking.
  • The second episode to contain a song during the "Barney Says" segment.
• The Season 6 episode "A Sunny, Snowy Day" is a semi-remake of this episode.
• During the "Barney Says" segment, there is an alternate angle shot of Michael and Shawn together after Barney sings the first two lines of "Skating, Skating".
• Winter is revealed to be Luci's favorite time of the year.
• The Barney doll does not wink at the end. Instead, a snowflake lands on Barney's nose, and it melts off with a spark.
• The kids at the beginning of the episode whom Luci says goodbye to were named Sarah and Louis.
