== Plot ==
[[Barney (Barney's World)|Barney]] and [[Mel]] are playing on the playground when Mel bets that she can cross the monkey bars without touching the ground. Barney is excited to see her perform the feat, and asks if she needs a boost; Mel appreciates his offer, but tells him that she can do it herself. 

After Mel falls, Barney asks if she's okay and if she needs a hand; once again Mel is thankful, but denies the help. Barney reminds her that he is there if she needs him, or even if she doesn't, and cheers her on as she crosses the monkey bars. Despite wanting to help when Mel becomes unsteady, Barney states that it's important to Mel that she does it by herself.

Once she crosses the monkey bars, Barney tells Mel that he's very proud of her, though he doesn't think he's helped her much. Mel says that knowing Barney was there for her the whole time was a big help, and gave her the courage to try despite the difficulty. She then tells Barney that she does need something, and when he asks what it is, she gives him a hug. Barney tells both Mel and the viewer that he's got them.
