Lyrics for "I Hear Music Everywhere" from "Barney's Dance-Along Jukebox" game.
"I Hear Music Everywhere" is an original Barney song that was written for the episode "Welcome, Cousin Riff". It first appeared however in the video Let's Make Music.
Background[]
When songwriter Joseph Phillips was tasked to write the song, it took a while to figure out what the song was. Phillips eventually came to this reflection that the song was about him as it reflects how he feels about music.[1]
"I Hear Music Everywhere" is considered to be a theme song to the character "Riff" as the character feels passionate about music everywhere.
Lyrics[]
- Music's always inside my head
- Yes, all day long, till I go to bed
- I hear the wind through the trees,
- The buzzing of the bees,
- The rumble of the train,
- The pitter-patter of the rain
- Can you hear it?
- I hear music everywhere
- (Wo-Wowzer!)
- Everybody, can you hear it?
- (Sha-Pop-POW)
- It's the sound that fills the air
- Yes, I hear music everywhere
- If you listen, you'll hear the sound
- The sound of music is all around
- I hear the birds sing a song
- In the daylight
- Then the frogs and the crickets
- Play the rhythm of the night
- Can you hear it? (Listen up!)
- I hear music everywhere
- (Wo-Wowzer!)
- Everybody, can you hear it?
- (Sha-Pop-POW)
- It's the sound that fills the air
- Yes, I hear music everywhere
- The wind through the trees.
- The buzzing of the bees.
- The rumble of the train.
- The pitter-patter of the rain.
- Can you hear it? (Listen up!)
- I hear music everywhere
- Everybody, can you hear it?
- (Sha-Pop-POW)
- It's the sound that fills the air
- Yes, I hear music everywhere

Trivia[]
- This song is usually done in the key of C. In the Season 14 Music Video, it is pitched up to E-flat, with the final chorus in F.
- Riff’s add-ons (except “Listen up!” in the second chorus) and the stanza before the final chorus are removed.
- The only episode to use the entire lyrics is where the song debuted: Let’s Make Music (Home Video), with the extra stanzas pitched up to D. The other episodes have the song end at the second chorus.
- Celebrating Around The World excludes the opening scatting segment from the song.
- Any Riff actor after Adam Brown performs different and much less specific choreography during the song.
