"I Love You (I Love Me Too)" is the closing song of several Barney's World episodes. It is an updated version of the original "I Love You" song with new lyrics emphasizing to young audiences that loving oneself is just as important as loving others. An instrumental version of this song has been played during the ending credits.

Writing and composition

The song is credited to be written by Lee Bernstein (the lyricist for "I Love You") and arranged by Joseph Phillips (a music director for Barney & Friends) respectively, however this is an error on the credits of the song as Barney's World, the series the song was written for, contains an entirely new music production team compared to Barney & Friends. Caleigh Barker, who retains songwriting/additional arranging credits within the series, arranged the song herself with additional input from individuals at Nelvana, the co-producer of Barney's World. Barker is not credited in the audio release of the song however.

Release

"I Love You (I Love Me Too)" is a song written for Barney's World that debuted ahead of the series premiere. The respective song debuted on music streaming services (such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, etc) on September 16, 2024. It became the first Barney song to be released as a single. Later in the day, an animated music video for the song was released on YouTube on various channels.

Music video

An official music video of "I Love You (I Love Me Too)" was officially released on September 22, 2024. The music video features Barney with real children dancing alongside him to the song. This was the first Barney song since "The Barney Boogie" to receive a proper music video.
