Jean Yoon (born May 4, 1962 in Champaign, Illinois) is an American-born Canadian actress and writer of Korean descent. She was raised in Toronto, Canada where she currently resides. She is known portraying the role of Umma on the CBC television series Kim's Convenience, which was adapted from the play of the same name. She provides the voice of Grace (Mel's mother) on Barney's World.
