John David Bennett II (born on August 10, 1983) is a former child actor who played Shawn on Barney & Friends from the first season to the third season.
Like Pia Hamilton, he auditioned for Barney & Friends in the same year as her, and eventually got into the role of Shawn. He appeared in a total of 41 episodes, making him the second most number of appearances in the first 3 seasons of Barney & Friends after Min.
He is now married and works as a chef in Dallas, Texas.
