John Allan Swasey (born October 18, 1964 in Houston, Texas) is an American actor and producer. He is known for voicing characters in the anime English dubs, including the voice of Van Hohenheim in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Mediator in Dark Water. Outside of voice acting, he has done various live-action roles as he portrayed the role of Jerry in the film Where the Heart Is, as well as the role of Hannah's Dad in Barney's Night Before Christmas.

Swasey's oldest daughter, who was four at the time, watched Barney's Night Before Christmas alongside her father and noticed him in the video while he was in the room with her. Confused, she questioned on how could he beside her while appearing in the video at the same time.[1]
