Jordan Kaufman (born September 14, 1987) is a boy with Down Syndrome who appeared in the beginning of the episode "Stop, Look And Be Safe!". As alluded in the documentary Barney Celebrates Children, to which Jordan was showcased in, the idea of having Kaufman on the show was to showcase that not all children were the same.
In Jordan's respective guest appearance on Barney & Friends, Kaufman was first seen playing farm with Tosha alongside the Barney doll. Derek and Tina eventually joined in and together they sang "BINGO". Barney eventually springs to life and greets Jordan alongside the other children.
Michael also comes by in his school crossing guard outfit and stops everyone (with his stop sign) from the activity they were doing. As they all freeze, he eventually tells them to resume. Michael informs Jordan that he saw his mom across the street, ready to pick him up. Michael tells him that he'll help Jordan cross the street. As he takes Michael's hand, Jordan waves goodbye to his friends. The children then climb on the playground to watch them cross.
Trivia[]
