Kurt Matthews Dykhuizen (born March 11, 1985 in Dallas, Texas) is an American former child actor who portrayed Jason in the Season 2 episode, "The Alphabet Zoo", and the third season of Barney & Friends. He returned in "Sing And Dance With Barney". He is the second person to play a character named Jason in the Barney franchise after Salim Grant did so for the first three Barney & The Backyard Gang videos.
Kurt Dykhuizen was born to David and Beth Dykhuizen, and he has 3 siblings, Kyle, Katie, and Constance.
Kurt Dykhuizen has a rare congenital disorder called Goldenhar's Syndrome and conductive hearing loss, but can hear well with hearing aids.
Kurt Dykhuizen graduated from Texas A&M University in 2007 with a Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Science.
Later, Kurt Dykhuizen attended the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth where he got a Master's Degree in Medical Sciences, receiving a DO in anesthesiology. He worked in Anesthesiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Now, Kurt Dykhuizen lives in Portland, Oregon, and he works as an Anesthesiologist and Physician at Oregon Anesthesiology Group Pc.
Kurt Dykhuizen also dabbles in art, photography, and fishing.
