Kyla Alissa Pratt (born September 16, 1986 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress who is best known as the voice of Penny Proud in the first animated series for Disney Channel called The Proud Family and its reboot, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder on Disney+. She is also known to portray Maya Dolittle in the Dr. Dolittle films.
Pratt began her acting career at a young age with one of the earliest roles being Marcella in the film Barney's Great Adventure.

At the time where its film was in production, Pratt's mother was pregnant with her sister. Pratt decided to do the film so her sister could watch her.[1]
