Lory Lazarus

Lory Lazarus is a composer and lyricist who worked on Barney & The Backyard Gang as well as on Barney & Friends.

Career

Working on the first three Backyard Gang videos with the late Stephen Bates Baltes, he wrote the first Barney song, "Friends Are Forever". They were convinced by friends that "this dinosaur thing will never get anywhere" and they left the franchise.

In 1995, he did return to the show, again collaborating with Stephen Baltes, working on new songs for the third season of Barney & Friends.
