Mel is on a mission to find a special treasure and accidentally makes a huge mess in the park; Barney creates a magical adventure where Mel learns that it's important to clean and care for a place that is special to the community.

"Mel's Greatest Treasure" was one of the first five episodes of Barney's World to be released on the streaming service Max on October 14, 2024. Following afterwards, it made a linear premiere on October 25, 2024 on Cartoonito, the preschool block of Cartoon Network (alongside the episode "One Ripe Tomato"). Then it got a YouTube release from the Fisher-Price YouTube channel on January 11th 2025.
