Molly the Mermaid is a character who only appeared in A Day At The Beach. She was portrayed by production assistant Nome and dubbed over by Sandy Duncan.

- Molly's original name was Miriam, and she was intended to be the cousin of Barney (who was at the time a female sea serpent named Sea-celia).
- Additionally, in the original draft of A Day At The Beach, it was intended for The Backyard Gang to go down via submarine (later changed to simply swimming) to see her.
