Mr. Knickerbocker is a character who first appeared in the home video Let's Make Music. He would later re-appeared in the national stage show tour of Barney Live in Concert - Birthday Bash!. The character of Mr. Knickerbocker is based on the song of the same name that's been heavily used within Barney & Friends. He is a tall man (given that he wears stilts) who's decked out in mostly blue and gold accents, and wears a tall royal blue top hat.

In Let's Make Music, he makes it known that he has a silly name and encourages everyone to guess his name. As Baby Bop, BJ and Riff take turns guessing, he gives them hints by providing rhythmic hints based on the song "Mr. Knickerbocker". Eventually, Barney gives them the hint that he has a funny name and likes to "Boppity-Bop", which makes them all realize that it's Mr. Knickerbocker. This same guessing game between the dinos would occur again in Barney Live in Concert - Birthday Bash!. Within the respective touring show, Mr. Knickerbocker's hat goes missing after BJ took it to use for his magic trick. Looking all over for it, he eventually finds it at Barney's birthday party and thanks them all for finding his hat.

Portrayal[]

Mr. Knickerbocker is best known to have been portrayed by Dallas-based voice actor Todd Haberkorn (in one of very few on-camera roles), the original actor of the character. However other actors would take his place when the character was in Barney Live in Concert - Birthday Bash!.
