"Mr. Knickerbocker" is a popular children's rap about a silly man who likes to "boppity-bop." In the Barney franchise, it first appeared in "Three Wishes". Subsequently, it appeared in "Barney in Concert", where it introduces Baby Bop. Her name was inspired by the song lyrics. In "Let's Make Music", there is a character of the same name.

• When the final verse is reached, the lyrics are start out softly, then gets louder until the end.
• In "Barney in Concert", an extra two rounds were sung as a reprise to ensure Baby Bop’s introduction. When she was introduced, "Baby Bop's Song" uses the tune of this song.
• In "Dancing", cans and brooms are used, instead of clapping their hands and tapping their cheeks to the rhythm.
  • This episode and "Big as Barney" omit the line “Yeah!”.
• In "Sing & Dance With Barney", a unique arrangement is used where the key doesn’t jump from E to F between the first two verses.
