Muffin is a white cat that only appeared in the episode "Camera Safari", from the fifteenth episode from the third season of Barney & Friends. Muffin was provided by Animal Talent of Texas for the episode. Muffin is Stella the Storyteller's pet cat.
During the episode in which she appeared, Muffin was left behind by Stella the Storyteller as she set her basket down to figure out why she appeared in the wrong place. Muffin hopped out of the basket she was in and accidentally scared Baby Bop, who thought she was a tiger that everyone might've been looking for.
Seeing Muffin again on the school playground, Barney explains to her that Muffin is a kitten. While Shawn is skeptical that Muffin might be a stray (and that they shouldn't touch her), Barney encourages the others that she belongs to someone he knows based on her collar.
After the cast within the episode learn more about big cats, Min wishes that Muffin had other little cats for her to play with. Shawn suggests that they make pretend friends for her. The children decide to make cat puppets for her to play with.
Stella the Storyteller eventually shows up. Barney hints that he was expecting her given that they had her cat. Stella acknowledges that she looked for Muffin everywhere, including in Tasmania, Bolivia and Boca Raton. Shawn tells her that they found Muffin while they were playing safari. Stella eventually told the story of "The Lion and the Mouse", and as she was about to leave after telling the story, she almost forgot Muffin (and her basket) again.
