Nelvana Enterprises is a Canadian production studio and entertainment company that is known for cro-producing and animating various shows. Some of they're best known work includes The Backyardigans, The Fairly OddParents, Dog City, The Magic School Bus, Little Bear, Franklin, Cyberchase, Max & Ruby, and Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go.[1] They are currently known for being the current company co-producing Barney's World.

History[]

Nelvana first became involved with the Barney franchise as co-producers of the Barney's World reboot. On February 13, 2023, the series was announced, with Nelvana co-producing the show alongside Mattel Television.[2] The show's title was later revealed as Barney's World on May 9, 2023.

In 2024, Nelvana became the Canadian licensing representative for classic Barney and the Barney's World series covering various consumer products and merchandise. Nelvana's goal is to bring Barney merchandise to market for generations that grew up with the franchise and for those being introduced to it through the new series.[3] One of their first known collaborations was with Mala the Brand and Peace Collective.[4]
