"Oh, Brother... She's My Sister" is the eighteenth episode from the fourth season of Barney & Friends.

Plot

As Barney and the children show how family unity can be fun, Baby Bop and BJ are having a disagreement. Their spat results in each vowing never to speak to the other ever again. Barney and the children try to soften their hard feelings by stimulating each to reflect on the positive sides of the other's personality. While Baby Bop and BJ are tussling over the book, "The Baby Sister", written by Tomie dePaola, Tomie arrives and offers to read it to everyone. Tomie's book and the surprise arrival of Tomie's real baby sister, Maureen, motivate the young dinos to make up.

Baniwa Chingudeul

• In the Korean co-production of Barney & Friends, Baniwa Chingudeul, BJ and Baby Bop give a reason for their argument unlike the material its based on. Baby Bop was dancing to "A Silly Hat" while BJ was trying to read a book. BJ turned off the music which starts the argument between the two characters.
• After the song "Books are Fun", Barney reads a different story rather than the one Tomie dePaola reads. Instead, the story (that was made for the co-production itself) relates to a fight the brother and sister have. After the sister gets taken to the hospital with an illness, her brother emotionally realizes how important his sister is to him and prays to the lord, tearfully asking him to "not take his sister away". He is then overjoyed when she returns. Realizing all this, Baby Bop starts crying, ashamed of being the cause of their fight (and having her blankey get dirty from BJ wiping her tears). They both make up on their own.

International edits

• The episode marked:
  • The first episode that Alissa and Jeff appear together.
  • The final episode that Jeff Ayers performed Baby Bop before leaving to film Barney's Great Adventure. Lee Clark filled in for him in the video, It's Time For Counting which was filmed after this season wrapped up.
  • The final episode that Alissa and Robert appear together.
  • The final time that Alissa appeared with Baby Bop and BJ.
  • The third and final appearance of Tomie dePaola on Barney & Friends, and the only time he appeared with Baby Bop.
    • The only appearance of his sister Maureen Modine.

Goofs

• Towards the end of "Everyone is Special", Barney's mouth doesn't move while he's singing.
• In this episode, Jeff and Robert have their names swapped. (quotes to prove it... Jeff: [to Robert] "I'll go with you, Jeff."; Barney: [to Jeff] "I'm afraid you're right, Robert.")
