Once Upon A Dino Tale is a Barney Clip Show that was released on January 6, 2009. It features scenes from the eighth-eleventh seasons of Barney & Friends.
Synopsis[]
Join Barney and his friends in some imagination fun as they enter an enchanted world of fairy-tale stories! Princess Rosey is having a party for the whole kingdom and asks Jingles the Jester to find the best fairy tale stories in the land. Barney, Baby Bop, BJ, and Riff decide to help out by sharing their favorite fairy tale stories. Be a part of the fun and learn that fairy tale stories are told together with the ones you love.

Marketing[]
The DVD marketing for Once Upon A Dino Tale consisted of online and national print advertising specifically targeting mothers and generating over twenty-three million impressions. Emails were circulated to the national Barney fan base and the video was cross promoted inside over one million new family DVDs from Lionsgate Home Entertainment releasing between January and March 2009.[1]

Once Upon A Dino Tale was available for pre-order on December 10, 2008. The video was officially released on DVD on July 6, 2009 by HIT Entertainment and Lionsgate Home Entertainment at a suggested retail price of $14.98.[1] Bonus features of the DVD included Barney’s Sing-Along Jukebox, featuring the thirteen songs from the video, and a bonus episode of Roary the Racing Car titled "Roary's First Day".

- The actress, who plays Jingles the Jester, Kacie Lynch, is the same girl who plays Taylor in seasons twelve and thirteen of Barney & Friends. Lynch booked the role of Jingles in July 2007.[2]
- The copyright says "2008" at the end credits, which means that it was completed months before it was released.
- In this video, the story of "Alice in Wonderland" from Barney's Best Manners: Your Invitation to Fun! was shortened.
- The Knight figures seen on the table near the castle with were made by the toy company Playmobil.
