Release[]
According to the insert on the Hit Entertainment Children's Favorites - A Christmas Treasure VHS, this video was originally going to be released in January 2005, but it was pushed up to December 2004 instead, possibly due to it having already been made prior to its scheduled release date. This video was originally titled Let The Games Begin! as evidenced on the screener release.

Trivia[]
- This was the final video to contain a bonus episode on the VHS release. In addition, the episode "Play It Safe!" features the "Barney... A Helping Hand for Growing Children" closing segment instead of the usual "Barney Says" segment given the fact of how it was replaced with a new one as episodes from seasons seven to eight began using a completely different segment to replace the former around the time season nine began airing that year.
- The preview for this video is announced by Hit Entertainment.
- The ToddWorld trailer is not included on the DVD release while the Thomas & Friends and Pingu trailers are not included on both releases.
- When this video was released on DVD, it was closed captioned by Caption Technologies, Inc.
- The first Barney screener DVD to be released in the United States.
