Main roles[]
Barney & Friends[]
"Grandpa's Visit"[]
Ryan's Grandpa is coming to town, but Ryan is not thrilled about it as Ryan's Grandpa wants to spend time with Ryan, but Ryan would like to spend time with his friends by going to the movies. Arriving at the park, Ryan's Grandpa is looking for a silver-striped speckle-spotted silly goose (or "Silly Goose" for short) and he asks Ryan and he enlists Ryan and his friends to help him find it. Eventually, Ryan's Grandpa dubs himself as the "Silly Goose" they were looking for, to which Barney also suggests that he spots another one, hinting at Ryan. Ryan realizes he's a "Silly Goose" himself and invites his grandpa to go to the movies with his friends.
"Big as Barney"[]
When Laura's kite becomes stuck in a tree, Ryan tries to reach it but is unable to. Eventually, Barney springs to life and is able to get Laura's kite from the tree. Ryan is impressed by Barney's high jump and later becomes impressed by Barney being able to sing, dance, make others laugh, resulting him believing that Barney can do any and everything. Ryan becomes even more impressed with Barney when he saves David from crashing on his roller skates. He then wishes that he could be like Barney and gets the idea to dress up and act like him. He first does a song and dance, then proceeds to tell a joke (which ends up not being told correctly) and soon tries to save David from crashing (to which he didn't need saving). Disappointed at his failures of pretending to be Barney, he decides to go home, not before accidentally throwing the ball under the caboose. While Barney and the others are unable to get it, Ryan gets the ball, to which everyone cheers. Thinking he didn't do anything special, Barney assures him that friends who help others are special. Ryan further explains that he just wanted to be helpful like Barney. Barney explains that to be special, he just has to be himself.
"The Emperor's Contest"[]
With a fishing contest occurring in the park, Ryan thinks about cheating by using his pickle-green, deep diving, weed-defying scooter bug, despite the rules saying that only the glow minnow is allowed to be used. Because of this, Barney tells him the story of "The Emperor's Contest" in which a boy became emperor for being honest. Afterwards, Ryan decides that he wants to do the honest thing and decides to use the glow minnow to fish.
