Shapes & Colors All Around was released on DVD, Digital HD and VOD (video on demand) on February 8, 2011 by HIT Entertainment and Lionsgate Home Entertainment. The DVD release was suggested at a retail price of $14.98. The DVD release contained a read-along of Barney's Color Train and a bonus episode from Timmy Time titled "Timmy's Plane".

• This video marks the first US episode DVD in which both episodes were included on pervious Barney DVDs. "Squares, Squares Everywhere" was previously on the 2006 re-release of It's Time For Counting, and the majority of "A Wonderful World of Colors and Shapes" is featured in the video, Now I Know My ABCs. This is actually noted on the package in small print.
• Despite using the Season 7-8 intro from Barney & Friends, as it was on the original broadcast of "Squares, Squares Everywhere", the title card was changed to the name of this video.
