Title Card

  • This is Tomie dePaola's third appearance on Barney & Friends.
  • In the Korean co-production (Baniwa Chingdeul), after the song Books Are Fun!, Barney reads a different story rather than the one that Tomie reads. Following that, Baby Bop cries out loud and she and BJ make up on their very own.
  • The English version WOULD'VE incorporated the reason for Baby Bop and BJ's sibling rivalry, which was in the Korean version.
  • This episode is one of the extremely rare times that BJ calls Baby Bop by her name. After BJ reviews the book "The Stinky Skunk and the Elephant's Trunk," he adds the words "I used to like to read this to Baby Bop."
  • This episode was released with Barney's Good, Clean Fun! in a 2 pack video.
  • When Tomie reads "The Baby Sister" to Barney and his friends, the other pages such as Dad and Buddy painting the walls white and the crib bright yellow, the scene where Tommy saying his prayers at nightime for a baby sister with a red ribbon in her hair, and the other pages from the book were cut off due to the pages being a little long for this episode so the book had to be a little short for enough time for The Sister Song and I Love You.
  • Because this is Tomie DePaola's only Season 4 apperance, he never appeared with Hannah, Curtis, Stephen, Danny, Kristen, Keesha, Chip, Kim, or Maria.
