"The One And Only You" is the fifth episode from the fifth season of Barney & Friends.

Plot[]

Kim is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her adopted baby brother. The children share in Kim's excitement, but Kristen begins to feel that her family is not quite as special because she is an only child. This sparks discussion about families and the differences and similarities between families. All the children agree that sharing is an important part of all families. Barney and the children help Kristen realize that all families are unique and special, even her only-child family.

The episodes begins with the kids drawing pictures of their families in the treehouse.
Seo Young celebrates her birthday in this version and "Happy Birthday to You" is sung in Korean.
Seoung Joon is wearing socks that have the Sesame Street logo and the character Bert is printed on them. In addition, he's wearing pajamas with Snoopy on them. This is likely due to less strict copyright laws in South Korea (compared to the US). Also, after the song "Roll Over" was performed, Seoung Joon fell asleep on the bed, and Barney changes them back to their normal clothes and he and his friends sneak out of the treehouse to let him sleep, just for awhile.

Trivia[]

This is the final episode Kim and Kristen appeared together.
This is the final time Curtis appeared with Danny and Kristen.
This episode has numerous similarities with the season one episode, "My Family's Just Right For Me". Most notably, Kristen's family was exactly the same as Kathy's family was: they both only live with their mother and grandmother, they’re the only child in their respective families, and they both feel sad when they find that they’re the only ones in the group that have no siblings. Stephen also would later have the similar problem in "Aunt Rachel Is Here!", However, the only difference is that he has a father, a stepmother, a stepbrother and grandmother, but he feels a little bit sad that he is the only one in the group in that episode without aunts, uncles, or cousins.
This is the final episode to feature the season four arrangement of "Everyone Is Special".
