The Three Butterflies (Barney & Friends)

An orange, blue and purple butterfly.

In the episode "Up We Go!", which was part of the third season of Barney & Friends, Stella the Storyteller told a story involving three butterflies. Stella told the story using butterfly and flower props.

Plot[]

Once upon a time, there were three butterflies (orange, blue and purple) who loved to dance on the flowers, and they played games too as they flapped their wings in the sun. Eventually, the three butterflies decided to play tag. Soon, a storm came and it started to rain. The butterflies soon started to look for someplace dry for shelter. The butterflies decided to ask the blue flower for shelter, but the flower would only help the blue butterfly. The blue butterfly didn't want to leave his friends out in the ran, so they all flew to the orange flower asking for shelter, but the orange flower would only help the orange butterfly. The orange butterfly didn't want to leave her friends in the rain, so they all flew to the purple flower, asking for shelter, but the purple flower would only help the purple butterfly. The purple butterfly didn't want to leave her friends either. The butterflies all flew away sadly, continuing to get wet. Meanwhile, the sun peaked from behind the storm clouds and was glad to see how much the butterflies loved each other. The sun made all the rain clouds go away and smiled warmly on the butterflies. They dried out and played happily in the sunshine, playing tag.
