Tim Dever (born July 10, 1969 in Silver Spring, Maryland)[1] is an actor who shared the voice role of Barney in nine home videos, usually serving as his speaking voice while Duncan Brannan provided his singing voice.

Personal Life

Dever is married to his wife Kathy Dever. Both of them were ice-skating coaches in Phoenix, Arizona. They both have three daughters who are Kaitlyn, Mady and Jane Dever.

Career

Dever coached in Phoenix until he won a nationwide cattle call to become the voice of Barney. He would later go on to voice another popular children’s character, Bob the Builder.[2]
