History

Women's History Month

Women's History Month is an annual, month that recognizes and celebrates the contributions of women to events in history and history that's currently in the making. Having originally started as a single day of observance in 1909, it evolved into a week-long celebration in 1978 and finally a full month in 1987.

Alongside Women's History Month is International Women's Day, a global annual holiday observed on March 8th to celebrate the achievements of women and raise awareness of women's equality.

Barney

The Barney franchise was initially created by Sheryl Leach, a mother who recognized a void in the market for video programming directed at preschoolers.
